Cleanup Procedures for Mold

The balcony of this apartment building had mold growing around the edges and ceiling from wind driven rain that was not cleaned up right away. The rain had been hitting the window and the water collected.

The first step in a mold cleanup is to assure that the disturbance does not end up contaminating the rest of the home. Using 6mil plastic sheeting the technicians from SERVPRO of Central Schaumburg / West Bloomingdale erected a containment. Working inside the containment assured that the mold spores would not travel into the rest of the apartment building causing more damage.
